For Fall I am loving the continuing Sporty Chíc trend.

Being feminine and flirty doesn’t have to be limited to sequins, pearls, glitter, feathers or ruffles… In fact, think outside the box! With this trend you can take a very simple, sporty item, such as a jersey inspired tee or a letterman influenced jacket, and spruce it up with fun accessories or sexy heels! Mixing and matching looks, styles and patterns can expand your outfit potential while additionally creating a spunky look. Be bold, embrace your inner grit!!

Think of jersey influenced “touchdown tees” embossed with graphic numbers reminiscent of your high school days… And who could forget the letterman jacket? An Americana staple taking us all the way back to the 1950’s when all the babes wore their beau’s team proudly on their sleeve! Earlier this month was the ever alluring New York Fashion Week.

A fantastical time of year where creative spirits collide in a frenzied week of fun, fashion, flirtation, & fabulousness!

Scanning the images of various stylish runway fashion shows I came across my all time favorites! I’ve included looks from all three designers: Rebecca Minkoff, Alexander Wang & Mara Hoffman.

I love the versatile looks created in all these fashion forward collections.

Specifically, however, the colors & prints found in both the Minkoff & Hoffman collections speak directly to my style esthetic. I just love how bold & bright their designs are!

As for Alexander Wang, his Spring line is daring.  An edgy exploration of menswear inspired fashion, made with the most delicious feminine twist and a lusciously simple color palette; featuring structured  pieces to be combined with your favorite everyday looks or put-together for a work-friendly, business approach or finally, dolled up for a glamorous night out!

I am a yogi. By no means enlightened, although making a humble attempt to learn more, grow more and be present, more. 

The only way I know how to go about this slow, challenging, fulfilling and yes, sometimes frustrating, process, is to: practice, practice for all is coming… 

Whenever I notice myself falling into the perils of my mind, I search for my breath, I slow down my thoughts and I think…I am not the first, nor will I be the last to go through self created struggle, instead redirect the  inner conversation, notice the beauty around you in the present moment, breathe, let go and m o v e on. This is by no means an easy task, it is time consuming for it must be done everyday; as well as humbling, and at times, painfully revealing. No matter, I feel deep gratitude and eternal blessings to be on this path. This is where I am meant to be, right now, living this experience, learning from this current teaching. In my heart and in my soul I have profound admiration and reverence for Krishnamacharya–also known as the father of modern yoga & BKS Iyengar–one of the foremost teachers in the world who has developed a keen mode of practice that infuses intelligence in the body and calmness in the mind, creating healing for any body that looks to search the self.

This posting is to honor, appreciate and ultimately recognize the efforts of all yogis: past, present & future. Yogis who diligently and genuinely work their shadow places to harness more light, more breath, and more life… May all beings be happy & free.

Seemingly untouchable, these stunning ladies acted as though they were exclusive members of a Pretty Girls Only club… And they were! This Fall the new trend is eco-friendly, animal-conscious, faux, vegan leather goods…  Leggings, jackets, dresses, vests & more! Thick, rich, and decadent vegan leather gives any outfit instant sex appeal and edge. Think: rock n’ roll chíc mixed in with a little wonder-woman/dominatrix…. The style is smooth, skin-tight, and flattering; showing off all the right curves and giving your confidence an extra peak as you  s t r u t  your stuff!

Some of my favorite, most coveted vegan leather pieces are from Sanctuary Clothing. The maidens of design have come back with yet another sophisticated, modern, LA inspired take on vintage clothing; comprising of elegant and sexy ready-to-wear staple pieces. Effortless and cool, I adore the Sanctuary Mixed Vegan Legging–made in a fabulous combination of vegan leather panels covering the frontside (like chaps! in a good way)… while the backside is a beefy, stable Ponte Knit– which is thick and luxe, providing a beautiful, flattering shape that is sure to keep your lady parts well covered and looking flawless! A Danish group–based in Berlin–this dynamic 3-man collaboration crafts musical magic… Cool synths, heavy bass beats, horns, and beautiful yet eerie vocals, Efterklang is a unique band with an original sound. When performing live the band grows to include more musical talent than should be legal! Here, I have included a short video featuring a live radio performance in Vienna where their songs Between The Walls, Black Summer & The Ghost are rendered beautifully and majestically… Luxurious builds, haunting harmonies & brassy undertones… Enjoy!!
